Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon

2009 Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon

Vinography, Alder Yarrow

Tasting Notes: Dark garnet in the glass, this wine smells of wet earth, cherry, and tobacco. In the mouth fine grained tannins wrap around a core of bright cherry fruit with hints of cedar and vanilla. Good acid, nice length. With 3% Cabernet Franc added. Tasty, 14.6% alcohol. Score: between 8.5 and 9. (February 2012) Read the complete article.

(100% estate fruit): Bright red ruby. Black cherry, cassis, cedar and graphite on the nose. Supple and sweet but more vibrant than some past vintages of this second wine, with rich currant and chocolate flavors accented by fresh herbs and a hint of menthol. Finishes with supple tannins and nice length. This will offer plenty of early appeal. 89 points (May 2012)
