Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon

2012 Lyndenhurst Cabernet Sauvignon

JamesSuckling.com, James Suckling

Loads of wet earth, autumn leaves, charcoal and blackcurrants. Full body, firm tannins, gorgeous fruit and spices. Beautiful tannin and acid tension to this wine with a solid core of fruit to balance it. Better in 2019. 96% cabernet sauvignon, 2% malbec and 2% cabernet franc. 95 points (April 30, 2015)

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Lyndenhurst is sexy, radiant and delicious, with plenty of the typical Spottswoode red and bluish stone fruit and spices. Creamy, layered and deeply expressive, the Lyndenhurst is a terrific choice for drinking over the next few years. This is pure class through and through. The Lyndenhurst is made mostly from estate fruit. 92 points (October 2015)

Vinography, Alder Yarrow

Dark garnet in the glass, this wine smells of black cherry and tobacco and cassis. In the mouth, black cherry and cola flavors are bright and juicy with excellent acidity, and backed by suede-like tannins. Floral notes linger in the finish along with a much deeper mineral and earth quality. This wine is pretty light on its feet, and quite delicious. Between 9 and 9.5 Points/10 Points (January 2, 2016)
